Find out more about Art and Walk

Story

Art and Walk Karpathos was born from two simple passions: the love for nature and the urge to create.
What began as a personal journey across rugged mountain paths and quiet coastal trails has grown into a shared adventure—one that brings travellers, locals, artists, and nature-lovers together in the heart of Karpathos. Our mission is to connect people with the island through the twin joys of artistic expression and mindful exploration.

Art and Walk Karpathos began as a simple idea: to share the beauty of Karpathos in ways that go beyond traditional tourism. The windswept cliffs of the Aegean, the old stone paths carved by generations, the villages where tradition still breathes—every corner of Karpathos tells a story. We wanted visitors not only to see the island but to feel it, to slow down, to create with it, and to carry a piece of its spirit home.

So we combined two worlds: walking and art.

What We Do

  • Guided Walks: We lead immersive walks through Karpathos’ villages, mountains, and coastal paths, offering stories of history, nature, mythology, and everyday life.

  • Art Workshops: We host creative sessions where participants can mosaic, clay, or paint inspired by the island’s colours, textures, and traditions.

  • Cultural Experiences: We bring guests closer to local customs, agriculture, music, and cuisine, fostering genuine connections with the community.

Walking the Island, One Story at a Time

Our guided walks are not just hikes—they are windows into local life.
We wander through ancient olive groves, follow forgotten trails, meet local villagers, and take our time to observe the small moments most travellers miss. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a curious beginner, our walks are designed to feel personal, relaxed, and connected to the authenticity of Karpathos.

Creating Inspired by Nature

We offer creative workshops that capture the island’s spirit.
From creating mosaic and painting to hands-on clay sessions, our art experiences encourage you to slow down, tap into your creativity, and express the colours and textures of Karpathos in your own way. No pressure, no skill required—just inspiration, laughter, and a shared table of art supplies.

Our Philosophy

We believe that art and walking are two of the most powerful ways to slow down, observe, and truly connect with a place. By combining them, we invite you to experience Karpathos not just as a destination, but as a living canvas.
