Come for sea air, soft winter light, and the kind of creative focus you rarely find at home. Pieces of Karpathos is a small-group mosaic retreat where you’ll spend your days creating, sharing long-table lunches, and letting the island’s colors guide your hands.
Over six days you’ll create two mosaics:
One collaborative artwork made together as a group — a “legacy mosaic” that stays on Karpathos as a gift to the island
One personal mosaic project you’ll design and complete to take home (your own story in stone and color)

*mentioned price is per person in a double room of a luxurious studio in Pigadia. There is a Sub-charge of €175 for a single room.
6 days / 5 half-day mosaic workshops (guided, relaxed, and beginner-friendly) with multilingual instructor.
All materials + tools (tiles, adhesives, grout, bases, safety gear).
Finishing + grouting session and practical tips for packing your mosaic safely for travel.
Design guidance from sketch to finished piece.

Why off-season?
December on Karpathos is calm, spacious, and beautifully real. It’s the perfect time to:
Create without rushing
Enjoy a slower island rhythm
Notice details you miss in summer—textures, stonework, winter skies, quiet village corners
The experience (how the week flows)
Each workshop is a half day, leaving your afternoons free for gentle walks, village wandering, resting, or simply letting ideas settle.
You’ll learn the essentials (cutting, laying, flow/andamento, texture, finishing) and you’ll have plenty of supported studio time to actually make — not just “try it.”
The island legacy mosaic
We’ll design one shared piece together, inspired by Karpathos — think wildflowers, sea patterns, stone textures, and island light. Each guest contributes a section, so everyone leaves their mark while the final artwork becomes a lasting memory for future visitors.
Your take-home mosaic
You’ll choose a project that fits your style and your suitcase: a panel to be framed, a set of coasters, a tray insert, or even a tabletop. You’ll leave with a finished piece you’re proud to display.
