Lastos is famous for the Kali Limni route — but this is the other Lastos hike: wilder, quieter, and honestly a little bit magical.
We start at the Monastery of Archangelou Michael and step straight into cool pine forests, following an off-the-grid path that opens up to jaw-dropping views over Kyra Panagia and Mertonas. In winter and spring, the landscape feels alive — with the chance to spot seasonal waterfalls tucked into the folds of the mountains.
Along the way you’ll pass old stavli and fertile terraces that whisper stories of the people who once lived from this land. And you won’t be alone: goats, sheep, and sometimes cows wander nearby, their bells echoing softly through the hills — not a disturbance, but part of the soundtrack of Lastos.
We’ll pause in a beautiful spot for a tea or snack, and you’ll have a moment to really hear the silence. Breathe it in, take your photos… and as always: take only pictures, leave no trace.
Note: not suitable for guests with a fear of heights.
