Real Karpathian Life

Now we are a few weeks into our ‘real Karpathian life’ and we couldn’t be asking for more. Our home is starting to look like our home. Even though we fell in love with this house already many years ago. Our summer hikes and walks are getting more and more settled and lots of new routes and tours are in the making.

The island we all love

Spawning ideas together is one of the advantages of being a couple with a shared vision of making Art and Walk grow. We want to offer tours to people that want to see a different side of the amazing island of Karpathos and its surroundings that we all love. Still, we have approximately 3 months to go until the real season starts in the end of April. Still it feels like we have things to do constantly, which is a nice feeling. It could be anything – from a Greek lesson to a coffee with a friend.

The days fly by

We fill our days here with lots of joy and if we don’t go into town – we just spend the whole day in our garden, painting or working with our mosaics. Little Jax gets a lot of love of course. Every day we take him for a walk in the forest or we go to the beach. He is – after all – our marketing manager and demands daily and constant attention and who are we to disagree with that?

Menetes - Kouri walk

The other day we did our walk from Menetes to Pigadia through the area of Kouri. Maybe you followed us via our Instagram story at ‘artandwalk‘. If you didn’t follow the story, add us on Instagram and follow our next adventures.

It's a pirate village

Menetes is a beautiful mountain village, built for the protection from the pirates that ruled the waters around Karpathos. Located approximately 350 meters above sea-level – the view from here is spectacular. You can join us in the summer every Friday, but for now look back on the walk through our saved Instagram story named ‘Menetes – Kouri’.

We hope you like it.

Cheers, Thom

    1. Hi Anna! Many thanks for your lovely comment. We are located in the valley of Pigadia, also known as the Kyra Panagia area at the valley.
