Meet your guide at 7am if your accommodation is in the southern part of the island. We leave by car and head towards the northern part of the island. A trip of about 1.5 hours.
The hike starts in Diafani, where the fishermen of Olympos make their living. As we leave the village of Diafani we start an exciting path upwards to the ancient church named Agios Konstantinos.
The first part of the path goes mainly uphill and we’ll take a break to catch our breath and enjoy the ocean-view while ascending towards Olympos. While we are getting close to Olympos the path reveals how the locals used to travel back and forth between these villages.
After passing Olympos we enter a river bed which is dry most of the time. In this isolated area we have plenty of goats around and beautiful nature before we reach the village of Diafani again.
After a traditional lunch (drinks excluded) at a local taverna, we return to the soutern part of the island.
This hike is only for experienced hikers and individuals with a good physical condition due to the more strenuous uphill bit.
