Kasos Tour Audio Guide

Go to Kasos with the Art and Walk Audio Guide starting with a 1,5 hour boat trip to the island. Walk through the villages where myths and legends were born. You can enjoy the local food and take a dip in the crystal clear water. It’s a day you’ll never forget!

Book your boat ticket in the harbor of Pigadia or at one of the local travel agencies such as Possi Travel or Halkias Travel. Ask for Kasos Princess, which is the yacht that takes you to Kasos. A round-trip costs 20 euro per person. The entire day-trip takes about 10 hours in total, including the boat trip to and from Kasos with Kasos Princess (1 hour and 30 minutes per trip).

On the island we recommend you start with a coffee at Blue Mare Cafe or Free Cafe before walking to the village of Panagia with the 6 churches and Kassiani’s grave. This is followed by a walk to the village of Fry and the harbor of Bouka. Simply open up the Smartguide application on your smartphone (iPhone or Android mobile device) and go into the Karpathos page with the Kasos Audio Guide from Art and Walk. Put on your headphones or have your phone on speaker to listen to the tour stories while following the route with GPS.

After the walk we recommend a lunch at Fry at Pizza di Kaso where chef George cooks traditional food with ingredients from Kasos.

If you want to spend time on the beach can do so as Kasos has plenty of beautiful beaches. The walk is roughly 6 km long and has a height difference of + 70m and takes on average about 2 hours.

Before taking the boat back to Karpathos, have a nice cold drink, coffee, or look for a souvenir purchase in one of the few souvenir shops on the island.

Important to know is to bring enough water with you, a hat that protects you from the sun, sunglasses and sunblock. Sneakers are no problem or other shoes you find comfortable. As there is time for a swim in the sea, it is good to bring your swimming clothes and a towel.

Please note that Kasos is known for its hot summer days. The tour does not offer much shade and it can be extremely hot!

* Please note that at the end of the season, the yacht Kasos Princess leaves Kasos an hour earlier due to it getting dark earlier.
